Global Park opens the first ‘green’ warehouse in Sri Lanka

Global Park, the logistics centre of Sri Lankan logistics giant Global Transportation Logistics, is the current regional hub chosen  by the UK retail fashion giant Marks & Spencer (M&S), as the international logistics hub for all garments manufactured under the M&S label in Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh. Hirdaramani factory gets CarbonNeutral certification

Climate change has been a major topic in the recent past and countries are following several initiatives to minimize the adverse affect on the environment caused by development. The Hirdaramani Group’s effort to create eco-friendly factories was recently rewarded when ‘Mihila’, one of its factories, was certified CarbonNeutral making it the first apparel factory in Asia to achieve that status.
